Shima in Underground Asakusa

Underground Asakusa has its own rhythm, hidden beneath the busy streets above. Narrow passageways, small stalls, and the smell of freshly prepared food create the feeling of an old Tokyo neighborhood living its own life away from the usual tourist routes. In this shoot, Shima moves through a maze of small restaurants and food counters, where vendors cook right in front of their customers, and the space is filled with conversation, warm light, and the constant movement of people.
